The state cancelled Carson’s clients drivers’ license and informed him that he would have to participate in the ignition interlock program before his license could be reinstated. Carson argued that the state misled his client by giving him incorrect information regarding the interlock program. As a result, the Court reinstated Carson’s clients driving privileges without the requirement that he participate in the ignition interlock program.

State v Osman

Client was charged with felony assault for injuring his girlfriend. The state threatened to increase the charges to first degree assault, which would have resulted in a mandatory prison sentence. State v. Larson

Client was arrested and charged with drug possession after a DNR officer found evidence of drugs in Carson’s client’s ice fishin house. Carson filed a motion to dismiss, arguing that a DNR officer must have a warrant to enter and search an ice fishing house. The Court granted Carson’s motion and dismissed the case

State v Boles

Client was charged with felony drug possession after the police arrived at his house due to a domestic disturbance call. Carson filed a motion to dismiss, arguing that the police did not have a search warrant to search the vehicle in which the drugs were found. Carson’s client was exonerated

Client was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder. The murder weapon was found, and the only DNA located on the gun and the shells was that of Carson’s client. Carson raised an “alternative perpetrator” defense, and argued to the jury that someone other than his client committed the crime. After a 4 day trial, the jury found Carson’s client not guilty
